Brunei welcomes Consultancy Visit

Continuing the consultancy visit to national Scout organizations, a small team of regional leaders is now in Brunei Darussalam from 3rd to 9th September to carry out discussions with key leaders of Brunei Darussalam National Scout Association.
Taking part in the consultancy visit is Brunei Darussalam National Scout Association President Dato Paduka Hj Idris Hj Abas, who is joined by Regional Scout Committee First Vice-Chairman Dr Mohammed Mukhyuddin, APR Director on Youth Programme Syd Castillo, with Flor Atinyao of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. They discussed specific topics particularly Youth Programme and Adults in Scouting which are the focal areas of Brunei Scouts.
Major points of discussion are the review of draft national Adults in Scouting Policy; establishment of National Rover Council and activation of the Program Committee to accomplish tasks at all levels. These areas are the follow-up of the youth programme development workshop last year where Brunei committed to provide dynamic and effective youth programme for their Scout members.
Brunei Scout Association President Dato Paduka Hj Idris Hj Abas opened the consultancy meeting with the group of headquarters commissioners, deputy commissioners, district commissioners and deputy district commissioners. Deputy President Awang Matusin came during the first day where some amendments on the organizational structure are recommended.
